DIG YOGA is dedicated to providing excellence in yoga education. Our mission is to create an educational environment that is deeply nurturing, fostering profound experiences and enduring growth. Sue Elkind and Naime Jezzeny, directors of the DIG DEEPER YOGA STUDIES faculty, have been leading yoga immersions and teacher trainings for over 15 years and have trained many successful yoga teachers worldwide. The entire teaching faculty is passionately committed to continued study and practice, as well as to the refinement of their own teaching skills. We aspire to always lead by example and in turn, offer from our hearts in creative, skillful and inspiring ways.
DIG DEEPER YOGA STUDIES (DDYS) offers both an opportunity for in-depth study as well as 200-hour and 500-hour Yoga Alliance® registered Teacher Trainings with some of the most eminent local and national teachers. The DDYS curriculum is designed to help you dig deep into the study and practices of yoga to discover more than you ever imagined.
Our comprehensive DDYS training program invites you to fulfill your most heartfelt desires by developing fluency in your practice, deepening your experience of the study and service of yoga, and cultivating your authentic voice as a teacher. Whether you are a student seeking more information, or you wish to help others enjoy the practice of yoga, or you are already a yoga teacher wanting to advance your education with renown teachers, the DDYS training program offers you the opportunity to dive into the areas that most resonate with you.
DDYS 101 (50-hours)
DDYS 101 serves as an introductory investigation into the studies, philosophies and practices of yoga and is the entry point for the DIG DEEPER YOGA STUDIES 200-hour program. Its focus is not on teaching, but instead a serious study of asana, pranayama, history, philosophy.
Prerequisites: The desire to dig deeper into the practice of yoga.
DDYS 200 (150-hours)
This course is an introduction to the Art and Science of Teaching Yoga, focusing on asana, pranayama and meditation; teaching skills including sequencing, language and adjustments; applied anatomy and therapeutics; scriptural study; yoga history and philosophy; and basic Sanskrit.
Prerequisites: DDYS 101
This Advanced Level 2 Teacher Training is for teachers who have completed a 200-hour teacher training program. The course includes the exploration of advanced asana practice; the energetics of optimally aligned asanas; applied therapeutics and hands-on adjustments; skillful and advanced teaching techniques for pranayama and meditation; building a workshop sequence; business and marketing; and polishing all of the Art of Teaching tools.
