prerequisites for teacher training programs:

At least one year of regular practice is recommended. No prior teaching experience is required for the 200-hour teacher training program. You do not need to be physically flexible or injury free. The knowledge and experience you will gain during this program will afford you both flexibility and healing from the inside out and the outside in. We want to nurture your practice, cultivate your confidence and empower you with tools to forge a deeper relationship with your yoga both on and off the mat.

Further reading assignments will be given once enrolled in program.

Hybrid learning structure - both livestream and in-person options.

All weekend modules & weekday classes will be live-streamed and recorded. We will also offer weekends in-person. Any missed hours must be made up by watching the recordings and handing in written summaries. Quizzes will be given throughout the training. Be prepared to practice asana, pranayama and meditation weekly. The Yoga Immersion launches the training with scriptural study, yoga history and philosophy, along with the foundational teachings of Hatha Yoga. An Applied Anatomy and Biomechanics weekend (along with pre-recorded components) will prepare you to begin The Art of Teaching practicums which include teaching skills, sequencing, language, basic sanskrit and the business of Yoga. A final exam will be given to complete the training.
