Heart of Spring Renewal Retreat at Himalayan Institute

Immerse yourself in a transformative Heart of Spring Renewal weekend at the Himalayan Institute with Sue Elkind and special guest teacher Kim Kemper.

Rooted in the vibrant energy of Beltane—the ancient celebration of blossoming, fertility, and awakening—this retreat invites you to step fully into the season of growth, creativity, and renewal. As the earth comes alive in color and vitality, so too can we reconnect with our own inner spark and sense of aliveness.

Nestled in the rolling hills of the Pocono Mountains, the Himalayan Institute’s expansive 400-acre campus offers breathtaking views, forested trails, and peaceful spaces for reflection and connection—an ideal setting for a weekend of deep nourishment and inspired exploration.

Each day will include expansive yoga, meditation, and pranayama practices with Sue, designed to awaken, ground, and energize your whole being. On Saturday afternoon, Kim will guide a powerful Integrative Breath session to support release, clarity, and transformation. Throughout the weekend, we’ll gather around the simple ritual of herbal infusions—enjoying thoughtfully crafted teas each day that reflect the season and offer gentle, nourishing support from the plants.

In honor of Beltane, we’ll venture out on guided plant walks to connect with the living intelligence of the land, learning how to recognize and work with the medicinal properties of what is abundantly growing all around us.

On Saturday evening, we gather in celebration—circling around a bonfire under the open sky for a Beltane-inspired ritual of intention, renewal, and joy. Through movement, reflection, and connection, we’ll honor the fire of transformation and the fullness of life in bloom.

Between sessions, enjoy delicious organic meals, wander scenic trails, visit the on-site chocolate factory and café, or indulge in deeply restorative treatments at the Ayurvedic Wellness Spa.

This retreat is an alchemical blend of practice, nature, and celebration—an invitation to bloom fully, reconnect with your vitality, and align with the pulse of the season. Join us for a weekend of renewal, community, and embodied joy.
